Offerings

We live in times of great changes and challenges. This affects individuals, it affects groups or teams and it affects all of humanity.

It takes courage, especially in these times of great uncertainty, to pursue the questions of our society and thus also our own life questions and to give room to changes and development processes.

I would like to inspire with my offerings to go new ways, to expand old frames of thought that have become too narrow, to get on the track of one’s own liveliness and to face the pressing questions in the inside as well as on the outside.

Sometimes this needs a protected setting and people who accompany it, gently and at the same time courageously, competently through their own experience, but also in the knowledge that life allows changes and transformation to happen in its own rhythm, a rhythm that we often recognize and learn to understand in the mirror of nature.

Sometimes it takes times alone to do that, sometimes it takes a supportive group to do that, sometimes it takes sharing across cultures, generations, professions, and social groups. But it’s always about being able to stay in touch with everything I encounter, with clarity and compassion. To reconnect what often feels separate: people with themselves, people with each other, people with nature, to understand more and more what it means that everyone and everything on this planet is connected and thus to be able to participate creatively in future developments of our society.

The ways and methods that can be found in my work and that I present to you here are not newly invented, neither by me nor by others, it is mostly old knowledge of the most diverse, often very old traditions, each of which has been further developed in a careful respectful way and thus made usable for us in our modern times.

In the process, I have been able to learn from many impressive teachers who have impressed and touched me with their knowledge and the way they embody it. For that I am grateful.

But my greatest teacher has always been nature itself, of which we are a part.

Seminars, Courses & Individual Support

Mindfulness

Attention is first of all an ability that each of us carries within us. Wir erleben sie beim bewussten Wahrnehmen von äußeren Dingen, von Situationen oder von inneren Vorgängen wie Gedanken, Gefühlen oder Körperempfindungen. This skill can be forgotten and we can practice and develop it.

When we complement attention with an inner attitude of kindness and compassion, an attitude of openness, curiosity and non-judgment, we cultivate mindfulness.

Currently I offer courses and impulse lectures on mindfulness on request.

Nature-related offers

As humans we are part of nature, we are part of the ecosystem earth, we are part of the circle of life.

In all times and in all cultures people were aware of this network of relationships, in the society of our western industrialized countries the meaning of relationship with nature was lost through alienation and is only gradually beginning to regain importance in recent years:

– as a place of healing

– as a place of education

– as a place of spiritual experience

– as a source of water and food

– as the basis of all our life

In indigenous cultures, the relationship with “Mother Earth” is a natural part of all life; caring for the Earth is a fundamental principle of all daily, social and spiritual practices.

Our Western understanding of the human-nature relationship (nature as “resources” for human consumption) has nearly destroyed the Earth’s natural balance. New ways and transformation of our western society means directly to be ready to get back into relationship with our natural environment.

With my offers I would like to make a contribution to this.

Way of Council – heart-based communication

Council is a non-hierarchical nonviolent form of communication that emphasizes attentive listening. A few guidelines create a space for empathy and honesty. Council promotes authentic self-expression, respect and creativity in group processes, space is created for new insights, new wisdom in making decisions, reconciliation work and healing.

In ancient times, Council was a natural way of communicating and a way of preserving a community’s knowledge, whether historical or spiritual, and thus keeping its common ground alive. Coming together in a circle gave an opportunity to make important decisions, to honor something, to enable peace and reconciliation work. It naturally included everything that was alive and therefore holy.

Today, the Council practice as presented here is a contemporary form of communication, developed with much care and wisdom from ancient traditions and modern knowledge, which recognizes that people in this time and especially in Western societies need to relearn and practice deceleration, mindfulness and the inclusion of our “heart knowledge”, as well as non-hierarchical group processes.

Research & Publications

My research and publications on the topics named on these pages are independent and are intended to contribute to the urgently needed expansion or change of Western research paradigms in the field of sustainability.

Transforming a society also always means breaking away from old ways of thinking and basic assumptions and recognizing that research, on which political and social decisions are based in a democratic society, is not neutral. Rather, the choice of methodology and research questions helps determine the direction and outcomes of research.

The expansion of Western paradigms of thinking, reasoning and research is a task for society as a whole. Research and educational institutions bear a special responsibility in this regard.
